Part-Time Stores Person

You’ll take ownership of the stores function, making sure materials are organised, available and delivered to site when needed.

Part-Time | 16-20 hours | Guernsey

About the role

Here’s what we’re looking for: staying on top of stock; planning ahead with the office team; keeping everything organised and accessible; and helping site teams work as efficiently as possible.


You’ll be part of a team that’s making a real difference on the island, helping reduce people’s energy costs, supporting the transition to renewables, and getting involved in community and charity projects.



What you’ll be doing

Stock & store management:

  • Organise and maintain a tidy, efficient stores area

  • Monitor stock levels and prepare orders for replenishment

  • Manage incoming and outgoing materials

Planning & coordination:

  • Work with the office team to review upcoming jobs

  • Identify what materials are needed for each project

  • Prepare and pick materials in advance of site work

Logistics:

  • Arrange delivery of materials to site – including palletised loads

  • Coordinate with haulage companies when required

  • Ensure materials arrive on time and in the right condition

Supporting site teams:

  • Support installers and electricians as needed

  • Assist with moving materials or general site tasks when required

  • Help remove delays by ensuring teams have what they need


What we’re looking for

Essential:

  • Organised and able to manage multiple priorities

  • Comfortable using systems and working across different tools

  • Practical, hands-on mindset

  • Proactive and able to respond quickly to changing needs

  • Reliable, punctual and a team player

Desirable:

  • Experience in a stores, logistics or warehouse role

  • Experience in construction or site-based environment

  • Basic understanding of materials or tools used in building projects

  • Driving licence
